Saturn System Montage: Voyager 1
Voyager 1 explored the Saturn system in November 1980. In this artist's view, we see the moon Dione in the front, Saturn rising behind, with Enceladus, Rhea, Titan, Tethys, and Mimas visible around it.
The giant crater Herschel nearly shattered Mimas, and makes it look somewhat like the Death Star. Titan is one of the few rocky bodies and the only moon in the solar system to have a significant atmosphere.
Images like these are fun to explore. People may explore these worlds in person, someday.
